Job opportunity: Mobile Training Assessors in Policing
Posted by: Peter Lavery offline | 3rd November 2010 @ 11:11
I have received this information from Dave Garfield:
Could you pass this around the bazaars please? INTERVIEWS ARE PLANNED FOR THE SECOND WEEK IN NOVEMBER!

I now work for Babcock Training, I am a static vocational Training Assessor in Policing. I am based at the training school near Portsmouth and the Babcock team and I will shortly be administering/running an RMP Advanced Apprenticeship in Policing. Thatâs the intro...

We are looking for persons (2) as Mobile Training Assessors in Policing. Their job will be as A1 Assessors in the Apprenticeship program checking the competency, in accordance with the policing National Occupational Standards, of newly qualified RMP LCpls out on the ground. Obviously the job will involve considerable travelling to wherever RMP are based (except Operational Theatres).

Qualities required are: A person who has considerable policing experience. A person who has been an instructor at the training school or at least has teaching experience, if that person has a current teaching qualification and is an A1 assessor or holds a V1 qualification then so much the better. It would be most helpful if the person had a good handle on current legislation including the Armed Forces Act 2006.

I do not know what the package is nor do I have a job spec as I am a new employee myself (I understand a car is with the job), in the same vein I have no sway over who gets the position(s) it will be a fair and open competition. Start date is around December but they may wait for the right candidate because the new employeeâs first squad will not pass out until May next year.

In the first instance potential candidates should send their CV to >lee.pearson@babcock.co.uk citing that they heard about the job through me (Dave Garfield). Lee should be able to provide more detail.
